Silencio Art Laboratory is a research and practice based collective focussing on the field of performance art. We aspire to build new forms of knowledge production and ways of experimentation within and against both past and present models of cultural hubs and institutions. 

 

Our aim is to open an accessible platform for public artistic and intellectual practices, that's why we give artists and researchers the opportunities to experiment and explore new ideas and techniques - which in our belief is the way to disrupt the status quo of traditional art.

 

SAL is currently based between Amsterdam and Berlin. Geographical location is a contemporary myth especially in the era of the internet. That’s why we’re open to broaden our network and collaborate with different artists, researchers and collectives internationally.

 

Silencio Art Laboratory is critical, while being cautiously optimistic about the future.
